Vacation at Melmerby Beach!

This past weekend the Lowe family was invited to go spend the weekend with the Fulmers and Saunders at the Fulmer’s family farm. Thank you so much! We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend with great company and great food! The boys truly enjoyed all the cuddles and the fresh farm air which allowed them to have a 9 hour night of sleep.

My 1st haircut!

So, we all know that Lucas had the luxury of getting his first haircut done professionally by the NICU staff. Unfortunately, Sebastian had his first haircut home-made with dads beard clippers! Here are the before and after shots!

Happy 6 month!

Our boys turned 6 months yesterday! Both Chris and I are shocked at how quickly the time has gone. It feels like only a month ago they were born in such fragile conditions. And though the last 6 months seem like a blur, the boys have come such a long way and mami and daddy have been noting all of their success. I don’t think anyone doubted their persistent personalities and willingness to overcome their rocky beginning! They are growing sooo big sooo quickly. At their 6 month check up today Sebastian weighed in at 14lbs.15ounces and Lucas weighed in at 13lbs.4ounces. The doc even told both of them “You can slow down now.” They are getting longer, though unfortunately it looks like they may have gotten mami’s height genes. And though visually Sebi’s noggin looks bigger than Lucas’ its less than a centimeter in diameter smaller. Haha. The Perinatal Follow Up program at the hospital told us over a month ago now that the boys were doing great and no longer needed weekly check ups so we aren’t due for another visit until December for a developmental assessment. They smile constantly and are starting to giggle. They are very social always interested in having a conversation with each other or perfect strangers on the street. They are in constant motion, including when they are feeding on the pillow, arms and legs are poking or punching themselves, their brother, or their mami! They are showing signs of emerging skills such as rolling over and sitting up. They both have found their hands and will often sit with their fingers interlaced on their chest. Twice this week by 2 different people they have been described as ‘pensive’ and Chris and I would have to agree. Overall, we are proud parents of the 2 cutest boys in Halifax, our boys Sebastian and Lucas. We are in constant awe of their strength!

A random weekend

Last weekend we took Catina to Lunenburg, NS. She loved it. So did Lucas. He took a snooze on daddy while mami fed Sebastian. FYI, the more people stare at me breastfeeding in public the more empowered I get. Im proud to be a breastfeeding mom of twins!!!

We also took a roadtrip to Maitland to see Nanny, Grampy, and the Lowe family. Catina got to meet Michael and Amanda finally. The boys enjoyed their first nap out in the country. So peaceful. They managed to somehow fold the blanket under their legs so that their feet could touch the grass! Awesome.

Bumbo

We are loving our new Bumbos.

This is where most of our philosophical chats about life occur.

Trip to PEI

Our 1st vacation to PEI was so much fun! The 5 hour ride went by quick and we loved our hotel room. The wedding was so much fun. Adam and Jill looked amazing! My daddy did a great job as groomsmen and he bbq’d some mean burgers! Oh and we looked pretty snazzy ourselves.

Baby Pictures

It’s always fun to see what the parents looked like as infants. Check it out and tell us what you think.

Can you tell us apart?

Which one am I?

Bath time

I love bath time. Dad is the master bather. Plus, he gets to have some one on one time with each of us.
