Farewell to Tata
I knew the day would come where Id have to say good bye. I was in denial though. This morning I dropped my dad off at the airport. I cried the whole way home as I replayed in my head his last words. “Im so proud of you Analita.” That encouragement will come handy on those days my world feels like its crumbling from underneath me. Haha.
The boys will miss their Tata and so will Chris and I. You did so much for us these past two months and we will never be able to say ‘thank you’ enough. Gracias papi for all those long days you kept me company at the hospital, the nights you stayed up with the boys so we could get an extra hour of sleep, all the bottles you gave them, all the times you pushed the stroller up Robie, for that delicious breakfast sandwich you made and all the other meals, for always filling up my water bottle while I nursed, the loads of laundry you did, the dishes you washed, the bottles of wine we shared, and the laughs we shared while the boys farted in public elevators. Thank you for making the trip to be a part of the boys lives.
Gracias papi. Ya te extrañamos,
Los 4
